1913 – 2007. Medical Administrator. Supreme Knight of Columbanus 1960-1963.  Worked in the Agricultural Credit Corporation, Comhairle le Leas Oige, General Manager Mater Hospital Pools and secretary of the Board of Management of the Mater Hospital.  Chairman of St Patrick’s Institution for Juvenile Offenders, Chairman Irish National Council for the Apostolate of the Laity, Executive Committee of the Catholic Social Service Conference, member of the Government Commission on Intoxicating Liquor 1956/57, Chairman of the Reception Committee of the Patrican Congress 1961member of the Censorship of Publications Board 1951 – 1957, Brancardier Dublin Hospitalite of Our Lady of Lourdes. Board member of Our Lady’s Hospital Crumlin, board of the Eastern Health Board, Chairman and founder member of the National Film Institute (1943-65), member of the Committee of Management Cluain Mhuire.   Admitted as a Knight of Malta in  1966. Died 30 March, 2007 and buried in Deans Grange Cemetery, as are many other papal knights.
