McQuillan Ken, KSG

1931 – 2004. From Drogheda,  Co Louth. Chartered accountant.in  practice since 1955. Was a founder of McQuillans DFK in 1973, director of DFK International the international advisory group. Vice-chairman of ROSC, whichwas an international exhibition held in Dublin every four years, the first in 1967. A jury of three international critics selected fifty contemporary artists, whose work ‘appealed aesthetically to their three individual tastes’.  Fellow of the Institute of Arbitrators and Treasurer of its Irish Branch. An annual lecture in his name is organised by the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. Supreme Knight of St Columbanus 1984-1987. Involved in tourism promotion. Died on 4 September and buried in Shanganagh Cemetery, where other papal knights are buried.
