1907 – 2003. From Boyle, Co Roscommon he resided in Drogheda, solicitor, qualified in 1949. Adviser to Mother Mary Martin founder of the Medical Missionaries of Mary. Involved in the Society of St Vincent de Paul. He was a solicitor practicing under the style of Patrick Tallan & Co in Drogheda from 1928. Law agent for Drogheda Corporation for over 50 years. Recipient of a Drogheda Civic Award in 2002. President and Captain of the Co Louth Golf Club, Baltray. Conferred in the Generalate of the Medical Missionaries of Mary by the Apostolic Nuncio to Ireland, Dr Emmauele Gerada (1920 –2011), on 9 December, 1990. Buried in St Peter’s Cemetery Drogheda, where three other papal knights are interred.
