1887 - 1967. Born in Dalkey Co Dublin, he was educated in Blackrock College. Taxing Master of the High Court. Was a sailor in WW 1 and subsequently a member of the Royal St George Yacht Club, Dun Laoghaire. Chairman Our Lady’s Hospital in Crumlin. Board of Jervis Street Hospital and chaired the Committee which built St Loman’s Hospital. Board of the VHI. Close friend of Lady Gregory. Received his decoration in the context of caring for invalids on the Archdiocese pilgrimage to Lourdes over many years. Wrote a number of plays including “The all alone”. Admitted as a Knight of Malta in 1955. Buried, like so many other papal knights, in Deansgrange Cemetery.
