1895 – 1980, born in Claremorris, resided at Newtown, Castlebar, County Engineer of Mayo 1924 to 1960, Senator, Supreme Knight of Columbanus 1963-1966. Joined volunteers 1914 and received his degree in engineering in 1917. He was president of the Irish Engineers Association 1954 – 1955. Announcement made by Archbishop of Tuam, Dr Walsh who had recently led a Knights Pilgrimage to Pope Paul VI.
