1922- 2006. Born in Dun Laoghaire. Estate Agent. Entered the Carmelites in Dublin, sang in choir and met President de Valera and Michael Collins after a recital. Moved to Galway and initially worked as a sales representative with a firm of pram manufacturers. Subsequently involved in furniture manufacturing, auctioneer. Married twice, second to his brothers widow in 1993. Award conferred on 28 June 1975 at Mass in St Patrick’s Training College Drumcondra by auxiliary bishop of Dublin Dr. Kavanagh. After papal award, met President de Valera. Supreme Knight of Columbanus 1971-1975. Died on 16 November, 2006 and buried in Rahoon Cemetery.
