1913 – 1986. A Dubliner he was chairman and founder of Irish Printers in 1947, and was President of the Dublin Master Printers Association. He received the award for charitable activities. He was associated with the Sacred Heart Home for homeless children in Drumcondra and the Central Remedial Clinic in Clontarf. He was a member of the Mater Hospital Board and it first chairman. He was also on the Board of the James Connolly Memorial Hospital. Adviser to Archbishop Ryan .He was a skillful soccer player being once featured on the sports pages when he played in the final of the Irish Junior Cup.
