1914 – 1990.Born in Cork and educated at presentation and Rochestown Colleges, Cork. He became accident manager and secretary of Insurance Corporation of Ireland(ICI) in Dublin and obtained a BL. He was involved in a number of government bodies related to Ireland’s accession to the European Community. Having retired from ICI in his early fifties he set up a consultancy. He had a close connection with the both the Capuchin and Carmelite Orders and he was on the latter’s business board. The award was presented in Terenure College by Bishop Brendan Comiskey of Ferns in the presence of the Apostolic Nuncio, Dr Gaetano Alibrandi and Bishop Donal Lamont (obit 2003. Sylvester Muldowney was also conferred at the Ceremony. He was buried in Bohernabreena as was Col Seán Brennan.
